Here goes yet another build thread!

So my big 200g pride and joy has to come down or get left with the house we are selling. I have some things I want to hold on to so I can eventually transfer them to a new build in whatever house we end up in. Hence this 25g Lagoon from Innovative Marine. I currently have their 10g at my office but got permission from the boss to upgrade to the 25 so I would have a bit more room. Woot.

Don't expect anything spectacular here. Just your standard IM tank and maybe some equipment goodies from the home tank that would otherwise go unused. I don't have much of a plan yet, just playing this one by ear for the most part.
What I do know is I'll be using an IM Ghost Skimmer this time, and for lighting I ordered the Reefbrite Hybrid MH/LED. Going with the 150w and chose the Ushio 14k. All the leds will be blue. Hoping this color combo works out. I've heard nothing but good things about the Ushio so hopefully the coral will be happy. Thought about going all LED but in the end I just couldn't do it. :D
Hoping the light gets here by late next week. For now I have a Radion XR15 to get me by.
Flow will come from an old MP10 and a couple of those spin stream nozzles on the returns.

I'll be stealing some rock and sand from the big tank, too.
By moving all sand and rock from the 10g, the sand and rock from the big tank, the Marine Pure spheres from the 10g, and maybe temporarily the filter sponge, I don't expect much of a cycle at all. Should go pretty smoothly.

I should be picking up the tank tomorrow.
Meanwhile, here is a pic of a few items that will be going in it. No nems though... they annoy me. Sorry, Mr Clown.

And here is the stand in the front corner of my office.

Yeah this should be good, I'm following too. What's the difference between this tank and the 30LIM other than dimensions?
That's pretty much it I think.
I got this one because of the proportions.

Good luck. Following along myself, we move into our new offices this week and I am going to try to put this very tank in my office as well.

Good luck with the new build. Yeah, I agree about the BTA. I do have a RBTA and have to be careful as to what to put around it.

Picked up the tank from FJW in Houston today.
There's several more available in store!

Trying to fill it without making too much noise. Going slow. lol :D
Got the Ghost Skimmer too.

This is the view from my desk.

I can't wait to see how this looks. I have always wanted a smaller tank but nervous about the maintenance.

Maintenance is much easier on a smaller tank but if you want to do sps or even some lps you gotta be real on top of your parameters.
They go out of whack much quicker/easier.

You got that right my 10g IM is kicking my butt. I don't have quite the time I would like work on it. I'm thinking of switching from phosguard and carbon to purigen and marinepure, to help keep the water cleaner.

This is why I think the reverse is true and much easier to keep a larger tank. My smaller tank never did as well.

No, I agree. Large tanks are much easier to keep overall. Especially if you want to keep sps.

Nope! That's actually why i've had to start tearing down the big tank at home... we are moving to be closer to work. Both of us work near downtown and we currently live 35 miles out in the burbs.
I work at a graphic design studio. So this will give me a decent place to hold some coral i want to keep from the big tank, and eventually transfer to a new build in a new house. :)

Been going crazy starting to break down the big tank and bring frags in for this tank.
Here's a quick phone shot of everything just piled in there.
Now I need to start glueing frags to rocks!

Updated FTS pics.
Still have a few frags left to mount on the rocks. :)
Still a few micro bubbles from the ghost skimmer but that has died way down and the skimmer is skimming.
