I'm in the process of building out my SCA 150, and waiting for the tank to cycle. Have a whole thread on that here:

But, since I'm an addict.... I figured that I had some solid walnut left over... and my office could use a tank.. so I bought an IM Nuvo 10G from BRS.

Since I kinda wanted the same look going that I have in the big build, I kept a similar look on the stand.

The front is 3/4" baltic birch as backer that I dyed black with India ink. Cut strips of 3/4" black walnut, routed the edges, sanded up to 220, then glued them to the backer.

Cut the remainder of the stand parts, used dominos and glue to assemble.
Stood on it a few times, seems to handle 170lbs with no issues.
Sanded some more, and then used a couple coats of LED vesting oil to finish it.
While I was doing that...my order from BRS was on the way.

Let's go over the game plan.

Tank: IM Nuvo 10G
Return Pump: MightyJet 326
UV Sterilizer: IM Aqua Shield
Lighting: Reef flare Pro Blue LED
Controller: Neptune Apex A3
ATO: Neptune Apex
Dosing: Neptune DOS QD
- Soda Ash
- Calcium chloride
Chiller: (yes, really) I'm going to find a way to plumb a JBJ Nano Arctica E-Chiller.. mainly because I'm a sucker for a sale.... and I bought one.
Stocking Plan: Honestly, I have no idea. I'm considering going super gucci zoanthids only. Maybe a mated pair of Yasha Gobies? Then again, I lean into just going acro crazy like I usually do. Who knows. So the plan is that there is currently no plan.

I seriously have an addiction.

Here we go!

That stand looks great, good job!

When do you see the tank cycle starting?
