Got the Optical Level Sensor from GHL yesterday along with the magnetic adjustable mount. :)
Their new store is awesome. So nice to FINALLY be able to easily order GHL items at any time and from a USA based warehouse.
The website is easy to navigate and the shipping was quick.
https://www.aquariumcomputer.com/usa/shop/
Hooked it up and I finally have a working ATO, water supplied via the mixing station outside in the shed. Woot!

my original post was: So far, how do you like the Elos overall when compared to your past set ups?
The tank itself is the prettiest tank I've ever had, bar none.

The stand, considering the type of material it's made from and it's construction, is nicer than any other stand I've seen come from an aquarium manufacturer.
If you like the sleek, modern look.

The drain system and flow I'm holding off on making any judgements yet.
Not until I get the refugium cover and put the adjustable pipe back in.
And get the tank filled with rock and sand and stuff.
Looking promising so far, though.

With all of the Profilux stuff you did on previous builds, I am surprised that you didn't have an optical sensor for an ATO already. Were you using float switches before for your AWC? Any plans to do anything else differently with the Profilux this time around? I'm asking because I just got my hands on one and am trying to learn as much about the possibilities as I can (and being a Profilux user, you probably feel my pain) ....

Actually I did. Had both the optical and the float sensors. Used them for my ATO and AWC on the previous tank.
But somehow the (more expensive) optical one disappeared during the move. I can't find it anywhere.

I do want to get the leak sensor this time. And of course the Doser 2 is new to me.
I did use the old doser for a while before switching to a CaRx.
Other than that, not much of anything different on this tank.

UPDATE 5-29-31

Ran the cable and hung up my Profilux "Touch" remote display panel yesterday.
It's just around the corner from the tank.
This location is right by the back door which we use to come and go.
And in the mornings I roll out of bed and walk to this door to let the dogs out.
So at a quick glance I can see all basic parameters or see if there is an alarm notification.
Or I can put the tank into feed mode, check graphs, etc. All without opening the cabinet.
And it's not a big distracting light right next to the tank. When standing right in front of the tank it's completely hidden.

And the 3g mixing/storage containers for the Triton Base Elementz are ready to go.
Located on a shelf in my garage.
Should make mixing and filling of my dosing containers nice and easy.

When you going to start adding rock and sand? Very interested in what your scape will be.

Great build.

Display is slick D. Great choice on the location. So many controllers I see on systems are distracting when near the tank.

Looks nice I just order a 3 pump slave unit and sensors to add AWC to my tank. The Doser 2 is such a great system so much you can do with it.

Nice! Just be careful you don't run it more than 10-15 minutes at a time. The rollers in the motors can over heat and start to break down. Trust me... i found that out on the old doser. ;)
Maybe the new stepper motors are built better but just a heads up.

This build makes me want to redo my tank HA
D2mini has that effect on ya. Make you strive to be better
LOL, thanks. :)

Don't plan to change a lot at one time. Want to spread it out over 24 hours. The newer motors are built well though.:)

Lucky dog!

I have an order for Richard in my not-too-distant future, too bad I couldn't tee that up for him now so that you could personalize my order for me ....
