Started it on Nov. 5th 2017. It's an 8 gallon all in one. Try small 1st and then go bigger from there. It's a JBJ -USA 4W 76gph tank. Don't have live rock in it yet.

This is day one with everything but heater. It's cloudy but cleared up in a few days.

November 13th, 2017. Installed live rock and wait for cycle. 20171113_094251.jpg

November 21, 2017. Took water to local fish store. Been in business since I was a kid. Told me it was good to start clean up crew. Got 3 snails, 4 hermit crabs and 1 emerald crab. 20171121_151653.jpg 20171121_151659-1.jpg

About a week later picked up some damsels to help with the cycle. Lost the blue damsel. Still have the damsel seen in this pic. 20180206_103715.jpg

About a week or 2 after the damsels I went and got some corals. Still would like some more coral. They don't grow very fast. 20180206_103713.jpg 20180206_103705.jpg
Had knee surgery on December 18th. Hard to be able to take care of it after. Had my son do biweekly water changes. Do 1 gallon every 2 weeks. Also check filter and media once a month.

Found a little pest. Thought at first it was cool. Found out that it was gonna hurt my live rock so got it out and got rid of it. 20180205_151438.jpg

That's it for now. I'll update as I get more stuff. Would like some more live rock and coral. Eventually I'll get rid of the damsel and get some reef fish. Maybe a clown and a shrimp. Have to see what's on sale atm.
Will be getting a 48 gallon cube at the end of the month. So new build thread coming....

20180213_143927.jpg Added more live rock today. Will post a pic when tank clears up and light is on. Fighting red algae. Also got a starfish that lives in the live sand and eats the algea.
Kinda rearranged the rocks around. Still would like some more. Color on 1 rock looks nice to me.

Got this little beauty this past Tuesday. 20180220_164123.jpg
Can't see it in the tank because it buries itself into the sand.

Have a Duncan, and another coral. Dont know the name of it. Also got a Royal Dottyback. Tank is running itself. Just do water changes and filter changes. Won't add much to it. If we get a bigger tank I'm going to make this my QT tank.
