Is this amount of polyp extension on my dallas acro normal? or is it unhappy, couldint find close up photos of other dallas acros.

PE is a feeding response, not an indicator of happiness. Could even be an indication of starvation in some cases.

Tissue color and whether the coral is totally closed are better indicators. IMO he looks good – just new!

Post your water test results and more details about your system if you have questions about whether the coral will be "happy" in your tank.

I quick cycled the nano tank using rocks from my main tank and ceramic media from the main tank too, then dosed some bacteria.
Amonia was 0 when i started adding in leather frags at first and then I added in the acro with another acan coral, acan looks happy but was just concerned with the polyp extention on the dallas.
All the parameters are in proper range apart from my phosphate being a bit high at 0.1-0.3 on the salifert test kit, PH at 8, KH at 44, GH at 10 and nitrites at 0, nitrates at around 15

Those all look great, including PO4 and NO3. I would consider those healthy numbers....less would be bad, more would be OK too, but not necessarily better.

oh okay its just that i thought it was supposed to be 0.03 not 0.3
