Ok, so I’m getting some conflicting information on my research on what to do with this acro. It’s a WWC fruit mix and it’s getting really pale but I’m not seeing any rtn or stn as of now. The lighting where it’s placed is only around 200par at the moment and it’s been lower as the lights have been on acclimation mode since the acro has been in the tank. I also started it in the sand bed for a few days prior to moving it up the rock work.
My parameters have been fine, nutrients maybe slightly low but not bottomed out. And alk was raising slowly as i wanted to try out a higher dkh.
Parameters:
Alk - 8.6, was at 10 and I slowly lowered it back down over the last several days.
Phosphate- .02
Nitrate 2.7
Calcium - 435
Magnesium - 1560
Salinity - 35
Temp - 78* F
PH - 8.2-8.4
I’m not sure exactly what’s causing the paling as all my other acros are doing fine. Should i lower it to a lower par for a while to see if it colors back up or will that make it worse?
I havnt seen this acro have any polyp extension since it’s been in the tank, roughly 2-3 weeks. Yet, i just added the other acros to the tank and they all opened up within an hour.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!
