Damaged my doughboy mushroom

Hi, any tips on assisting my mushroom to heal. Looks like I scraped the side of it trying to cut off the plug it was on and OfCourse it crumbles causing my bone cutter to scrape the crap out of it, I don't know if it got the mouth. I did an immediate Lugol's dip so that it can prevent an infection. FYI reason why I had to cut the plug is i got a mushroom cage for it. When I set it down at the bottom the mushroom would be upside down. Hopefully this wasn't an expensive mistake. I'll post a picture.

I checked this morning, and it hasn't lost color it just scribbled up. Obviously mad at me.

Lol! Mine took about a week to fluff back up. Some white strips started to form and it comes back. Just give him time to gather himself lol.
