I am new to the saltwater aquarium community and just got my first damsel fish. The only problem is it has some weird marks on it. I don’t think it resembles ich or velvet, but am concerned on what it could be and if it is harmful. He also is hiding and not eating food, but it’s only been one day since I put him in the tank, so I’m not too worried about that part. I attatched some photos below. Please let me know if anyone has ideas!

Looks like an injury, possibly bacterial infection, its fins are all nipped up too. It was probably getting bullied.

If it gets any worse, I would remove and treat with antibiotics or if it continues to not eat in the next day or two.

Thank you! He was with a lot of other fish before so that makes sense
