Does anyone else know if another damsel, besides the springer damsel, is good at eliminating flatworms? I don't have a problem, but I like to keep a good bug eater and my frag tank is super small. Normally I keep a Mal but i've also converted it to bare bottom so I think a damsel of some sort might be better suited.

Thanks

Blue damsels will eat flatworms... I'm a big fan of the wrasse option but then you'll need a cover on your tank.

I've always used a wrasse for control. I'm familiar with lids, I'm more concerned with not having any substrate.

Should be fine as long as the damsel has places to hide it shouldn't be an issue.

Damsels are hit or miss with flatworms. Halichoeres wrasse is a much better choice, if your tank is big enough and you aren’t really attached to your CUC.

I would assume a yellow tail and azure damsel would be similar to a springier in terms of flatworm control. A six line wrasse doesn’t need substrate and is a classic frag tank fish for pest control, but will be mean to other fish, a pink streaked wrasse will be less active/effective but a lot more peaceful

Pink streaked wrasse would be my choice as well. They are a peaceful little wrasse that would do a better job with pest control than a damsel.

Yes I have one of these in my big tank. The problem is finding one. Took me months to acquire one last time
