So who has the thickest, darkest, stinkiest skimmate out there? Right now I have a nice stinky black goop filling my collection cup, just wait till tommorrow!

Those are both diy skimmers and I empty them every 4 days full or not...;)Btw that's on a vodka/mb7 diet...1smile1

Btw don't expect those results from your normal skimmers I spent countless hours modding and tweaking those skimmers to get the results you see... My diy atb 1050 deluxe pulls 45schf at 45 watts and the avast diy cone was pulling 27schf at 16watts it had a modded airstar pump on it the psk2500 it was about all the air it could handle...Building skimmers from scratch is a hobby of mine... Lol. My first cone skimmer was crazy man I'll see if I can find pics I could pull close to 60scfh on a 6.5" neck it rocked!!!

That gunk is from my reef octo nwb 150. I get that every three days from my 100 gal frag system. Im suprised at that since there are only about 8 frags and I have never fed the tank.

I get this GFO colored skimmate whenever I use GFO from a particular seller. Likewise, my skimmate is carbon black (like in Lee's picture) when I used carbon from the same seller (I don't have a picture of the carbon colored skimmate). I don't get this kind of skimmate using GFO and carbon from anywhere else.
