I have a green mandarin dragonette that sadly died earlier today. I was about to remove when I saw my nassarius snails eating the dead fish. Is that okay or should I remove it?

Sorry for the loss.
Personally I would remove it especially if you have a smaller system.
Nothing wrong with letting the snail have a snack but a dead fish can dirty up the water pretty quick.

This right here. While the nassarius snails will do a good job cleaning up what they can, the decaying body will still release a not of excess nutrients into the tank. It's best to remove it.

I once caught my pincushion urchin trying to eat my deceased royal gramma. I had to reach in and remove the half that was still sticking out of his mouth. ;Yuck

I just lost my smallest clown, probably last nite. Between the snails and cleaner shrimp and pistol shrimp when I pulled it out this morning it was just the bone

I would remove it, the longer it sits in the tank the more it breaks down and raises your levels. The CUC will do a number on it, but they won't remove it fast enough for it to make an impact most likely.
