Hi, I am having trouble introducing a powder blue to my tank that already has a regal tang. The first day was not good with the regal attacking the powder tang. I have now put the powder tang in an introduction tank within the main tank but heard a decoy regal could help when I release him again. Unfortunately cannot find where to purchase a decoy tang. Any help please?

I have no experience with decoy tangs but the mirror trick usually works pretty well. Depending on size of fish and container it is in I'd leave it there for a few days to a week. Feed tank right by the container and feed that fish at the same time. Then when releasing the fish put the mirror up for a few days and see how it goes.

What size are the fish and size of the tank?

There a guy I think his YouTube channel is Tank of Hex. He makes tang
Decoys.
Yep. Travis at Fish of Hex.

Honestly though, a few days in an acclimation box and the mirror trick should work if the system is large enough.

Thanks for your reply.
Tank is 600 litres. Will try what you suggest🤞

I just did the mirror trick for an Asfur angelfish I just added. For some reason the Sohol, lineatus, purple tang and powder blue continuously attacked the Asfur. First time I've had so many tangs attack an angelfish like that. Put the mirror up for two days and now no issues at all. I did QT the asfur for quite a while and made sure he was nice and fat eating the same food I feed.

DO NOT USE!! My old PBT broke her scalps off smacking a decoy around.

I also just added an asfur and was surprised my emp couldnt care less about it. It was my 3 zebrasomas that were angry about it. She knocked my acclimation box over while I was looking for the lid after acclimating her to the tank. So that didnt help 😂 how big is yours??

This has worked amazing for me in the past few times I introduced fish. I have 2 mirrors on oposite ends of the tank for few days.

Asfur is about 6", Sohol 8-9, lineatus 7-8, powder blue 6, purple is smallest at 2-3.

You still haven't explained how in the world you have a sohal and a lineatus in the same setup without a murder scene.
