Deep sand bed

Hi,
I have a deep sand bed on about year. Lasy time I saw that the send od getting dark. There was too much algae and not enought water flow. Do you have aby advices what to do now. Unfortunatelly my nutrients are po4 0,07; no3 3,0.
I throu away lost algaes. What can I do with this dsb now?
Start it again, wash that sand in a water from aquarium? Od should i throw IT away and pit there some siporax or something different?
Do you have aby advices?

That's a nice looking dsb. That dark color is doing a lot of processing. What are your hopes for this tank? Is that a refugium? Do you hope to still run one?
You will get a lot of different perspectives on this. Some will say throw it away and start over I'm going to say keep it and just clean it up. Just the algae. But for now, don't disturb the Deep part of that bed.
Is the rest of your tank still running with coral and fish?
