Definitely worm free (IMLagoon25)

Definitely time for a water change but my nitrate 😞 Time to whip out the neonitro

Got the water change done awhile ago, hopefully my corals will be a bit happier. The goni hasn't had great polyp extension recently and neither has my new digitata probably due to the low calcium, it was at 350ppm.
Threw in some neonitro afterwards to keep nitrate above zero, only having one fish to feed has definitely taken its toll. All that macroalgae is not helping either lol.
Overall everything is doing good but Im not liking having to deal with a bobbit worm and a gorilla crab. Definitely want to get them out before I add any small fish, mainly worried about the bobbit.

I am pretty sure the bobbit (Eunice) worm is benign but id rather be safe than sorry. It dosent seem to have mandibles for predation like some members of the genus, looks like its got some little palps for eating detritus and maybe algae.
It keeps pulling in parts of my caulpera thats in front of its little hole which is getting really annoying because it keeps ripping some of the roots out of the sand when it does that. Looks like its maybe nibbling on the caulpera though.
Its also making this wierd glue like substance to adhere things around the entrance to its hole, its pulled in peices of crab molts, shells, and my macroalgae like I mentioned, haven't heard of them doing that before. Ive seen things get stuck to that rock but I had no idea what was doing it until I saw the worm yesterday.

Ive decided Im not giving up on growing bug prop roots and putting this guy in the tank. Its going pretty well under the grow light, had to move it away from the window as it got colder, I have single pane windows lol. Looks like its about to sprout a new pair of leaves, then Ill mive it to a bigger container so Ittle grow prop roots agian. For those who dont know, mangroves will stop growing prop roots once they hit soil, then they start growing runners from the prop roots. Once we get to the summer I think ill put it in a big 5 gallon bucket outside.

Heres some shots from today, that anacropora is getting crazy polyp extension! Im going to mount it this weekend, long with the digitata and the other branching montipora.

This digi has not colored up at all 😭 I think its only gotten more brown. I guess ill just have another tan/bown coral. I think it'll still look nice grown out, Ill put it towards the back of the tank.

I got back on Saturday, tank looks good, she always does a good job.
One peice of the red montipora is bleached for some reason, others are fine. It was a little bleached before I left though. Tested alk at 7.6dkh, ive brought it up to 9.3dkh with sodium bicarbonate dosing, seems like the bleaching isnt getting any worse.
I have no idea why alk is so low while calcium is still good at 399ppm? Anyways all seems to be goid now.
No pics at the moment because r2r won't let me upload them.

Hopefully some updates soon but I am super sick right now. Ive had high fevers every day since Monday 😞
Oh no 😢 I hope you feel better soon.
There seems to be something going around right now. I’ve been out all week as well and I know other people have been out, both at my work and my wife’s work.
