Determining Torch Compatibility

Hello reefers. I’ve recently started getting into torches and unfortunately I’m seeing some tentacle sticking with the bright green torch at the top of the attached picture. After some research I guess torches from different areas may not be compatible

I believe the bright green one is a malaysian torch. My other two torches with the skinnier tentacles I believe are indo torches (dragon soul and asd hg).

Having a nano tank, I specifically found this elevated platform rock to hold the torches, so I can’t really move it to another area. I’ll be looking to trade it in I guess.

My question is really: How can I determine the origin of torches before buying them? Like if I replace the bright green Malaysian (?) torch, how can I make sure the replacement is indo (?) to be friendly with the other two torches?

I like the look of other “holy grails” and “tiger” torches but these names don’t indicate their origins right? Any threads or guides you would recommend on this topic?

Maybe TCK master or holy grail type torches would be compatible with the presumably indo torches?

Malaysian and Indo torches should do just fine together. They are much more similar than the Australian variety which those tend to not get along sometimes. What exactly are you seeing that makes you think they don’t get along?

The closest I think you could get here is buying torches from a single vendor that knows what they are selling.

There are way too many names, and way to many vendors mis-naming them for you to rely on that IMO.
