I am developing a mobile and cloud based app that will have multiple functions and create a dashboard (customizable) where you can log in to see all important info. I am aware there are programs tied to equipment that already do this but I want something that anyone can use without needing to buy expensive controllers (and if they have an API I'll see if data can be pulled in in upgrades). Check it out would love the forums feedback on what you would most like to see.

V1 will have:

Testing parameters - latest tests vs database of ideal parameters (or you can customize to create your own ideal parameters). Will alert if off by certain %. Dashboard can show last test, averages, test graphed out over time with notes tied to each test and where you compare against ideal or customized ideals

Livestock Log
Fish & Coral Log- all your fish and coral. Will be connected to a database to easily upload and manage your livestock. Will be tied to a compatibility chart as well so you can test against future animals and can create a wishlist. Can customize as well. Will tell you age of animal based on length of time in the tank.

Disease Mgmt:
QT log plus database on disease. Will allow you to track medication, dive into databases on info and pics on diseases & medications, track how livestock are doing in QT. All will be added to your livestock log notes attached to specific animals

Tasks
H/D/W/M/Y tasks broken down into
Feeding / Dosing / Testing / maintenance / Custom
Will setup tasks + reminders for any category and will push to your dashboard. Each time you finish a task you can add notes and then archive so you can search them

Equipment list:
Just that with sections on type/ manufacture / links to manuals or places you buy / price paid / date added / date to replace

Calculator
Unit conversions an automatic calculator that will determine ideal specs and parameters based on water volume

Food & supplements
List all of your food that you use for the tank and tie them to specific livestock and the task section getting alerts to when you will need to buy new food based on amount
List all of supplements and tied to toasting schedule also can add date to replace or purchase more

Notes
Create custom notes that will also be tied to the dashboard so you can easily see them

Let me know your thoughts and thanks

I'm interested, I use an app to keep track of things already. But cloud availability and cross platform sync would be a great idea.

I've played with Aquacalculator and Aquarimate (which is the best of the two IMHO) and if you look at what I propose above neither of them do 75% of what I'd like to develop. They are all raw database apps with no access to real content nor do they sync with a browser.

Do it, I'll find something to beta test it on. [emoji6]

I use aquarimate none of the ones I've checked do all of what I want. Went with this one due to the livestock database. Would ck outa new one

Thanks my issue with Aquarimate is ease of use, their database frankly sucks, and it is pretty sparse. Anything specifically you'd like to see?

@scoopsthedog I'd love to have an actual calendar to write in, or at least see at a glance upcoming tasks. Export to excel. Back ups of course. dosing? I'm not there as of yet but I'm sure it's coming. Oh, another app I tried out had a +days for each item in red next to the heading(+2, +10, etc.) so you can see how many days old your tank was, and your livestock at a glance. That was kinda neat. And a feeding schedule, separate from tasks schedules would be nice. I'm pretty new to the hobby but this is what I'd like so far. That might be too much, I know.

So far I've tested out aquaplanner (iphone), aquarium note and aquarium manager. Biggest complaints: no actual fish/coral database. Oh, just reread your post and I see you have the age of the livestock and feeding etc.. Def. eager to see what you come up with. How about an import from aquarimate so I can import my current data <g>

Thanks lots of good stuff here. One of my primary goals will be to make it super user friendly and easy to use.
