So I've got a BRS Triple DI Saver. At my old house I was on municipal water so both Cation and Anion resin were being used. My new house is on a well and has a water softener so now my Cation resin barely gets used. Was wondering if I should just put Anion resin in the 1st two chambers and just keep the mixed bed as the the only Cation in the system. This shouldn't cause any problems right? I'm just tired of buying Cation resin if it's not being used.

That would work and save you in the long run. It would deplete the first bed before the second in theory lasting longer. Are you running a water softener?

That makes sense then, the water softener is removing positively charged hard minerals. The mixed bed will capture anything the water softener doesn’t.
