Ok so moving this over here from another forum

Hey everyone ok so tank is home and has been placed. As you all may have seen from a couple previous posts, getting back into salt water after a long break and have decided to jump in with a good size tank to start with. Already seeing by the space on the wall I should have gone with a 150 but going to start here as I got a great deal on a turn key system (although I am already planning on many changes as I just can't leave well enough alone) and can always upgrade down the road. So here is the plan: plan on having a full reef tank, will be sending the plumbing down to the basement and will set up a nice bench there for everything. System came with a 20 long sump but as I have 10' of available space to build a bench down stairs I plan on going with a 55 sump/fuge setup. Will prob put a couple 10ga quarantine tanks down there as well as the bulk of the electrical and eventually controllers and what not as I am a tech junky and will have to have a techy controller ;) here is where she sits as is in the house, will put a coat is stain on base to match the wall and prob wrap the wood grain base and top trim on tank in black vinyl. Ordered 80lbs of dry live rock and have about 20 of seeded wet live Ina bucket heated and circulated. That's all for now, stay tuned for progress and question/advice as I'm sure I will have/need plenty!

Do to the complexity of getting through the wall without making huge holes I was forced to go flex hose through the wall and floor.

Will plumb from the sump to the top of the wall and from bottom of the tank to the opening in the wall.

Should have rest of plumbing done by the weekend and water test time. Picked up RKL and updated all the firmware and got that all ready to go. RODI unit will be here this week so will start making salt water and hopefully by Friday if leak test is good be filling to start the cycle!

Well in hindsight I could have certainly reduced out of the 90s to much smaller valves but it these for $3 each and they are fully disassemblable for service if need be so eh is what it is. Drain plumbed and gravity test HUGE success, man the water just dumped out of the over flow when valve was opened! RKL modules hung and away from any potential drip areas of leaks ever occurred. RODI unit hung and all the return plumbing is assembled. I will get another Union and put a cap on it so I can remove the valve leg and service if need be but then cap the return leg so tank can continue to run in case of extended service. Slop sink in the car, per fittings for sink and DI on bench, getting closer by the day!
