Diamond back Goby

So thinking of getting a diamond back sand sifting goby. If I do has anyone put dirty sand in the quarantine tank for it to feed on ?

I had a tupperware container of sand for my diamond goby. I just didn't do anything to upkeep the tank besides clean the glass and he's gone through a full QT. Started with new sand too
