So we had recently gotten a diamond goby and we've loved him. We also moved a powerhead in the tank, and later we noticed there was a huge hill of sand and all the sand was gone in front of the tank!

So we moved the powerhead because we thought it was hitting the glass and pushing away the sand. But then yesterday I saw it again! But I also spotted my diamond goby picking up sand and moving it onto the hill.

Do any of you with diamond gobies ever see this?

They are so funny I have 2 and they do a fantastic job keeping the sand clean, they are fun to watch! Recently I had a very expensive fish pair die, all of my tank parameters were correct. The only thing we could come up with but not definitively prove was that the oxygen level had dropped, so we added an air bubbler that most people put in fresh water tanks. GUESS WHAT! Our goby that my girls have named "Oobie" will swim in the bubbles , and float in them, and let them carry him to the surface... He's hilarious!
