Diamond goby and new reefer help

Will i have enough sand bed for a diamond goby? Am i to close to the glass?

I would say at least a two inch bed. More importantly an established bed, they feed on the microfauna, pods and waste. In newer tanks they tend to slowly starve.

I agree with the above response. Make sure they have enough sand to "burrow" in. I had a Yellow watchman goby in a sand bed around two inches or so deep. He would always build up a huge hill of sand in front of the aquascape where he slept.

This is what my diamond does! He and I do battle over his sand mountain! He builds it up, I leave it for awhile, then I spread it back out, then he builds again! I used to wonder how the diamond got in there at night because he always totally covers the entrance once lights start dimming. Then one day I watched him in entirety, and after he has the entrance completely covered, he literally DIVES THRU to mountain cover he just made, and just like that, he is tucked safely in his cave for the night.

True statement. Wait at least a year, let your tank get established first. Also keep in mind, Diamond Goby's are notorious for jumping out of tanks. Make sure you have a cover for your tank. I love Diamond Goby's, but this was why i didn't get one. A cover really takes away from the aesthetics of the tank.

Build a spot for him. All my rocks are on the glass but two in those I added spacers to lift the rock up giving a place to go.
