LOTS of us love this species of Goby. For mine I create a backstory which, to me, makes their activities more comical. I like to believe nature has forced them into being this fish for punishment. "I sentence you to a life spent eating sand!!!" They try to make the best of things, but are ashamed they must eat sand, embarrassed by what they do. They eat sand while giving the expression which says "is there someone you could talk to on my behalf? Please.... no more sand. No.... more... sand...."
I have had one DG who seemed to eat sand joyously, but most have either shame in those eyes.
I'd LOVE to see others videos of this fish doing its thing!!
Here's a couple of mine [emoji4]

This ones a time lapse...

Favorite fish in my tank. He sifted A LOT of sand when he first got in tank. Now he stuffs himself on prepared frozen food and just moves sand around all day.
