Diamond Goby or Yellow Watchman Goby

I am torn between the two!

I love the character of gobbies so I need one however I can't decide. I went with black and white clowns so I don't have that yellow / orange clown look so it makes me lean towards the watchman. However, I read they are not as active - does anyone wanna decide for me?

Also is the tiger pistol shrimp a good combo for the watchmen? Reef safe / community safe?

The DWG is the ultimate sand sifter but they make a terrible mess in the tank. I had a medium sized one that could turn my 90 gallon into a storm worthy of the Sahara Desert. They can also be somewhat of a pain to keep alive. The Yellow is hardier and won't make the mess than the DWG does.

My brother has the DWG and he's a digger but he doesn't make it super foggy. However, I like the yellow pistol much better !

How big is the tank ?

ive got one in a 55 and one in a 75. I like thr way the ywg looks and perches.

I have had a YWG for over 3 years now, very hardy fish. Goby-Wan Kenobi, I had him paired with a pistol shrimp for about a year and a half, then lost the shrimp in my tank move. The one downside of my goby is that he stays in his cave and doesn’t venture out. It’s his safe space. Here is a pic of him “Watching”
