Sorry to hear that. You can't let your guard down with those guys. They will find the smallest hole and go for a stroll on the floor unfortunately.

The goby decided to go carpet diving last night and right when his tail was doing better he jumped threw about half inch gap

Sorry to hear that. :sad: I've actually got a diamond goby in QT right now that managed to jump/wedge himself in-between the screen and eggcrate (I've since flipped it over.) IME; they are one of the hardest fish to keep long-term because of the jumping. I'm not sure if mine is gonna make it or not... don't know how long he was out of water for.

Yea I heard they like to jump out but I have a nice glass top with tht half inch gap in the back

Mine was out all night he was all dried up and under my dresser

Mine appears to have bounced back from this most recent episode. He's eating/acting normally again.

Thts good, I definitely think I'm going to get another one my tank is just not the same lol and he kept the sand looking so good! How much do they cost for u? My LFS they run about $25

so sorry about the loss :( I think $25 is a decent price. I would still suggest you keep an eye on other tank mates because it really looked to me like an injury as opposed to a type of infection. Obviously once there is a wound, infection setting in is possible. I think something was pestering the goby when you weren't watching.

$25 is about the going price for one where I live as well.
