Anyone bought a brown sps that colroed up into something amazing? I bought a brown monti undata from my LFS that seemed like it had potential and it's coloring up into a nice yellow with blue polyps (no pics yet). Maybe it's a phoenix?:D Anyways post pics if you've got any transformations.

Not a brown SPS, but a wild frag that was severely bleached when I first got it. First pic is probably a month in after it went in the tank, and a progression over the next couple months. Sad I lost this because colors like that are not easy to come by.

A before and after (color up) would be great. Nice find by the way - score!
Yeah I'm waiting for it to color up more (And waiting to get some better actinics, lol) but it's definitely a yellow undata. Knew I had to get it when I saw it, it's a 3 inch piece for $50!

Oh that's awesome, shame about the loss. I had something similar happen I bough a brown acro colony from my LFS 2 years ago and it colored up to be a wolverine, but my tank was unstable and it eventually RTNd.

This piece is starting to grow and color up. Was of no interest to anyone. Now all the sudden everyone is like, you didn't have that before? What is it? I want a frag!
I like it.

Blues with lense. Looks good under daylight as well. Will take daylight pic tomorrow.
