I’m looking to replace my current wave makers in my 75 gallon and want to move to 2 gyres at opposite ends. Was looking at the Jebao gyres because they are affordable and you are supposed to be able to sync them together through the app.

What I can’t figure out is what the difference is between the MCP and SCP lines. Looks like MCP has an lcd controller and the SCP doesn’t. But does anyone know if there are other differences or recommendations on which line to go with? Also which models would provide the right amount of flow for a 75 gallon (4 ft long) mixed reef? Would running 2 of the 90M or 120Ms around 50% be good?

I will never use Jebao again they cooked my tank! When they fail and it's a matter of time. When these pumps fail it's usually the bushing and when that goes it releases copper. This is what happened to my tank it killed everything except fish. Personally, I wouldn't go cheap in this hobby. I had a Tunze pump fail as well but they will replace it. I never had a Ecotech pump fail just saying.

The "90" in 90M is for 90cm length. 120 for 120cm tank etc...

I have 2x 50m, 1x 70m and 2 dmp-5.

gyre type Ecp-70m in a 60cm tank.
It's ok.... ex: constant flow at 100% will be to much.
I prefer the wifi one . The app is "meh" but i can programme diferent flow through out the day.

My
50m (gyre type) are Bluetooth... i don't like that.
Prefer wifi.

For a 4ft. Tank with sps. (If pump on the side shooting for 4ft)
I would go 1x 120M on each side (face to face)
(30cm~1feet)

The Jebao models are mostly just controller and color differences.

CP - Original "analog" gyre
SCP - Original "analog" controller with updated sinewave tech
SCP-m - Updated controller with wifi/app
MCP - New "digital" wifi controller
ECP-m - The last (newest) of the wifi gyres

...etc...

The very latest one is the DCW. It has a digital controller, but uses BLUETOOTH instead of wifi. The app also has some updated options previously unavailable for the wifi pumps, the ability to set a maximum speed in random mode being the biggest one. The pumps themselves have been update as well.
