Why do different colonies of the same Acro have such variations in PE? I'm new (less than a year) to keeping SPS in general and noticed that my Blue Milli has decent PE, but one in a friends tank is CRAZY... the polyps look like their eat LEAST 1/2".... Why?

As clayalaleona stated, the conditions in your friends tank are better for that specific species of coral.....could be nutrients, flow, lighting, temperature, etc. Try getting a sample of your friends water and test for everything that you are able to test for and compare to your water. Also take a look at flow and light, comparing the two tanks.
