Hi everyone, can a tuxedo urchin and a diadema urchin live in the same 75 gallon tank or is having only the one best? I'm working on building up my clean up crew. (Bonus pic of Quill aka Sir Quillsalot, pretending to be king of the reef).

I have 3 in my 180 and are half the size of yours.. 1 tuxedo and 2 pincushion.
The pincushion are lawnmowers

I bet you could get away with just having 1. Have you considered that the long spine could be an issue when you need to put your hands in the tank? I like the way they look, but I've always been partial to the tuxedo. Love the blue details.

Yes definitely but I wear gloves and am very careful when I do. He also tends to be very visible so I can't really miss him. I've stepped on one while on vacation so I'm probably slightly more than a little paranoid about it tbh. Thanks so much for the reply!

I have a small pincushion and tux in my 75 with lots to eat.
Make sure you supplement with nori or algae disc's cuz it doesn't look like they have much to eat in your picture.

I agree with the others, on "yes"

But do you think you really need to add another or build up a cleanup crew? Your rock looks pretty "clean"

Edit: I was typing when you posted that you add nori

I wish cleanup crews weren't considered automatic. It seems like it's a step in the new tank setup guide. Urchins eat a lot, and are easy to starve
