I've seen some yellow tangs with really big eyes, are those from a specific location? i dont think they are captive bred because a lfs carries captive bred and they have smaller eyes with rounder features.

All look the same to me. Plain, yellow, too common, and boring lol

The eyes are proportionally larger when the fish is smaller, so maybe that's what you are seeing?

i dont know, I had one which was a bit larger, his features were elongated and eyeballs a bit larger. might just be a genetic thing or maybe it just appeared that way since he was a bit thin - he never had much meat on him. the one i have now is pretty fat and just looks circular with smaller eyes.
