Why did I get into this hobby ;Facepalm;Greedy?? I been wanting to get a nice fish tank for some time so I pulled the trigger and went with a 20G tall tank. A week later I wanted to upgrade and here we are. This will be a very slow build. I'm taking my sweet sweet time. The tank probably won't see water for 2 months.

First I had to build a stand. I wanted to keep it by my work space since I day trade & run online businesses. Knowing when I buy bulk inventory or lose money on the day I can look left and calm down. So I decided to make an extension to the desk I already built. The 5ft part the tank will be on sits against a load bearing exterior wall and over 3 beams. So I'm confident the weight will hold. Don't judge the mess. Some days my desk is clean and some days it's chaos.

The stand isint fully complete. It needs doors and some other misc stuff.

I was going to pull the trigger on a 90G but ended up with a 75G for two reasons.
1. The 75G is the same length but shorter. Cleaning my 20G tall is a pain. So i imagined a 90G would be a nightmare.
2. My LFS had this tank sitting in shop for a while, using it as storage. I wen't in and offered $100 for it and he accepted. Of-course I did a rigorous inspection. All looked good with no scratches, nicks or issues to the silicon. Filled it to check for leaks when I brought it home and had none BUT, I will be adding more silicon to be on the safe side.

I finished up the aquascape tonight and painted it the same color as the E-marco 400 mortar I used to join the pieces. I painted it because I used a mixture of different rocks and the mortar is a purple color. Figured it will help fight algae and look better as a single color.

I'll take a better photo tomorrow afternoon!

Any feedback or thoughts on how to make it look better? I'm all ears!

Can't wait to get this in my tank! Waiting for my overflow box which is coming in today. Once I drill my tank I can start getting a feel for my aquascape in it!

The purple came put pretty nice too. Might do a second coat to make it darker.
