I got rid of my cyano easily with one dosing of chemiclean but right after an explosion of Dino came I’ve turned lighting down as well as started feeding more to increase nitrates. I don’t think a UV sterilizer will work since I don’t think my Dino goes into the water Column. But I have noticed some Dino floating at the top of the tank and I’ve read that dead Dino floats so maybe the nitrates went up.

Often you will find that while treating for cyano and lowering The nitrate and phosphate leads to Dino. To counter both, blow this stuff loose with a turkey baster and siphon up loose particles. Turn lights off (at least white and run blue at 10-15% IF you have light dependant corals) for 5 days and at night dose 1ml of 3% hydrogen peroxide per 10 gallons for all 5 nights. If you dont have light dependent coral- turn all lights off. During the day dose 1ml of liquid bacteria (such as micro bacter 7 or XLM) per 10 gallons. Clean filters daily and DO NOT FEED CORAL FOODS OR ADD NOPOX

I got dinos right after using Chemiclean too. My po4 and no3 levels were above zero but they did fluctuate. Not sure if it was the disappearance of the cyano or the fluctuation of po4/no3 that caused it but the dinos came and they enjoyed their stay

When dosing 3% hydrogen peroxide and micro bacteria 7 should you run your skimmer? Or should skimmer be off for 5 days as well?
Continue to run- just empty cup daily
