I have a dino bloom in my tank right now. Here are some images taken at 100x and 400x, respectively. I believe this is Ostreopsis, but it would be great to get confirmation from folks who have looked at more of these cells than I have. I can post video, if that's helpful. Assuming my ID is correct, the treatment recommendation is UV and maintaining nitrate and phosphate levels. For an approximately 50 gallon display, it seems like 1watt/3 gal is the recommendation, so a 15watt should be OK? Assuming that some of the display is rock not water. Aiming for 100gph flow through the unit. Any recommendations for a particular UV unit? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Although I haven't tried this one myself personally, it would probably suit your needs. It's a 9-watt UV rated for up to 50 gallons and includes the pump - so you just suction it to the inside of your tank.
