So I have Dino and turf algae. I posted a tread earlier and everyone my turf algae could be used to beat the Dinos. So if I crank my leds up to 100 and nutrients up high will the algae explode and the Dino go away???

at the expense of whatever coral you may or may not have in your system. a more measured approach to me would just be to increase nutrients and the algae will respond.

Yes I have 2 lights one on each side and I only have my corals on one side as well. So I only increased the lights on the other side from 1% to 70% because there’s nothing on that side and it’s two big rocks on each side as well so I was just going to grow a bunch on that’s side hoping it wouldn’t affect my corals. Also I only have softies and LPS corals so I think the will be fine in higher nutrients. But I like your idea better.

Never heard of turf used to combat Dino.
For Dino- lights out is essential as flagellates feed off of light. You will for 7 days add liquid bacteria daily at 1ml per 10 gallons and 1.5ml of hydrogen peroxide at night for at least 5 days
You can leave blue in for coral but at 15% or so
Start by loosening algae/Dino with a turkey baster and siphon well

Thanks for the help. This is the 3rd time I’ve had them and I like that idea.
