Is it a good idea to dip corals after fragging? If so, in what? I am preparing to cut up a couple candy cane colonies that aren't doing too well / some flesh is disintegrating.

i do iodine + tank water. just a light tea color, but can go darker depending on the coral. the moment i make the cuts, i'll leave the frags in the container with iodine as i start gluing them to the plugs then placing in tank.

edit: if you're doing so as a response to the candy cane dying off, i would 100% do iodine as it'll help reduce or stop the bacterial "infection" or die-off. of course, stable water parameters is key, too.
