I noticed a couple spots on my black storm clown. They look dark / gray , kind of in the same area on both sides of his belly. I've had them for 3 months now. He's still eating like a pig, and I'm concerned he may be a bit overfed as a result of trying to get food to the other tank inhabitants. Is this anything to worry about? Maybe aggression from the other clown? I only notice the little spats you see in the video when they think there is food coming. The maroon storm is a jerk during feeding time.

Its hard to see on a white fish but he does come pretty close to the camera, it's towards the bottom of the fish, where the belly curvature starts to go back upwards, on each side it's right in front of his large black spot. It just looks discolored, not raised or sunken or scaling off. Thanks in advance.

As with most designer clowns, may be a marking but video is blurry and fish moving quickly

Did you add any new corals lately that the clown is trying to love up on?

Have to say it - a video - and pictures may be more helpful - the video helps assess the breathing, etc - the picture can show the spots - with a white fish its really difficult - and I apologize for asking for more - but can you post some pictures of the spots you're concerned about. Dinos (present or not should not be an issue)

No worries at all and appreciate the response. He's real hard to get a picture of that shows it but I've frozen the video at parts where I think it's most visible. The one on his left side (when his head is pointing left) looks to be two vertical marks almost like a vampire bite shape. It's real faint on the white fish, but definitely something I've not noticed before.

Much clearer and looks to be a blemish from post injury. Keep an eye on it for any darkening or redness but appears to be a blemish that is healing. Can even be a bite mark from other clown from ago

Thanks! I will keep an eye on the spots, was just making sure it's not something overly concerning. We're pretty attached to these two goofballs.

I'm struggling to see any major issue with these clowns. Color changes in designer clowns is pretty common. At the end of the video, can you see how the one clown gets nudged by the other? That is a sign of minor aggression - which may get worse when you are not in the room. I don't see any ripped fins or mouth damage, so I think they can probably work things out.

Yep, definitely the maroon turns into a jerk during feeding time. I think I'm going to run into some issues because the maroon has been the dominant and aggressive one since I got them but the other has overtaken him in size now.

Maybe I could ask a stupid question here. Let's assume this is some injury that's caused by the other clown and healing:

I've been dosing some Microbactyr7 and Dr. Tim's waste away sporadically to combat dinos. Would this negatively affect something like what the clown has? I don't want to cause a bacterial infection.

Sorry - I haven't used those products, so I can't say.
