Discosoma Explosion

I know mushrooms are considered pests by some because they can spread quite quickly, but that had never been my experience. Recently, however, I started dosing silica to help with a dino outbreak and my discosoma have been growing like crazy, perhaps 2-3 new baby shrooms every week. Sponges have been growing a lot as well as expected. I wasn't sure if anyone has ever heard of silica affecting mushroom growth.

Interesting.. the only thing I have heard claiming to be beneficial for shrooms is iodine supplements but have seen no correlation myself.
