Hi, pictures are important, but so is the background information about the fish and tank. Here is a post that describes that:

Important to this case is:
How long has it had the spots?
Any other symptoms?
How long have you had the fish?
Do the spots come and go and change in number from day to day?

The go-to immediate conclusion is that this is Cryptocaryon, marine ich. Some of the spots seem a bit elongated, but I can't tell if that is the picture's focus or if they are in fact, not round.

No other symptoms, eating well and behaving normally. I first noticed today. I’ve had the fish for 6 months. I don’t think they change in number

Seeing the same dots on its head suggests crypto as mentioned by Jay. Fish is best placed in quarantine and treated with general cure or coppersafe.
Lets see answers to Jay's questions and go from there

You'll need to watch them for 2 or 3 days. Use your first photo as a reference. Take additional photos each day and compare them. If the spots are in the same location and same number, then these are either mucus plugs and/or broken fin rays. If the spots are in new locations and change in number (up or down) then it is more likely ich.

Hmm it may be the former since it is getting picked on by a big clown but I will keep an eye out. Thanks.

@Jay Hemdal @vetteguy53081 update: i don’t have pictures, but the spots seem to be fading, some have disappeared completely. They’re almost translucent now compared to yesterday.
Watch closely for any spots that return in new locations - more of a sign of ich.
