With the holidays coming up, I was planning on going somewhere warm for vacation (currently 42* in Boston) and wanted some advice on where to go. I intend to relax, scuba dive, and enjoy the weather. Don’t wanna travel too far considering it’ll only be for a week or so ( someone has a tank to tend to). Was thinking Belize or something.. just not sure where to have some good diving!

The best place to dive, also happens to be the place i got certified. GITMO, Cuba! some of the best reefs and untouched waters i have ever experienced. May be hard for normal people to get to though.

Bump :)

I think it might belize, anyone ever dive in Belize?

If you want to stay in the States, Key Largo, Key West, and the Dry Tortugas National Park are all great places to dive and things aren't as busy this time of year :)

Went last year and going back again this year. Phenomanal diving! I advise taking the day trips to the atolls and key's out a ways. Spendier and less dives but man is the diving out there pristine. We stayed in san pedro which was great as well.

Wasnt too fond of the mainland though.

I was in Belize a few years ago, stayed on Ambergris Caye. We didn't dive(wife not certified), only snorkeled. Snorkeled Mexican Rocks, Hol Chan, and Shark/Ray alley. Was the best place I have been since dove the Great Barrier Reef 15 years ago. Highly recommended.

Confirmed hol chan and shark/ray were awesome. We did our night dive at hol chan. Was a blast.

Any blue hole dives?!

Didn't get to shoot the hole while there, but did swim over it

Edit: not sure if you were talking about Guams blue hole

Yes, not worth it. I prefer to see the reef and fish and marine life, the blue hole is more just looking at the underwater formations.. however when we did the blue hole dive we also dove half moon caye, which was one of the best sites we dove.

Anything near palencia? Thinking there for a few days then somewhere else potentially

Opposite side of the country from where I was. San Pedro is on amberghis caye and we did all of our diving from there
