DIY acrylic tank (large 100+ gallons)

Has anyone here built one? Was it successful? Did the seams hold up over time? Watching "the king of DIY" 6 step process for doing your own acrylic tank really has me thinking this is something I could do. What are your thoughts?

I'd like to point you to the thread below. There are some really knowledgeable folks participating. Post the question there and hopefully get some of their attention.

I'm certainly not discounting anything you've seen on the interweb, but I believe you will get differing building advice from what you referrence above.
