DIY AIO water surface height?

Hello,

I build my own AIO tank when i was planning the hight of the internal walls I put the second wall height at 2.5 cm below the rim of the tank.
Because I thought this would get me a water surface thats approx. 2 cm below the top rim of the tank.
But now my water surface is only 1 cm below the surface...

Do u think this could yield to some problems?
I'm thinking about shortening the wall by 0.5-1 cm.

I would lower it personally to give you less risk of splashing over the sides. 2-3cm would be ideal

Could just drill holes in the wall at the height you want and that will do it as well.

Yes, drilling would probably also work. But i thought about just using a dremel to take of 0.5-1 cm.

splashing should not be a problem, I will install some acrylic covers on the weekend.
A friend of mine printed me some nifty holders I found online.
