I wonder if anyone has tried this?
I think I’m going to build one using clear acrylic and some acrylic tubing haven’t decided on colors to use yet and recirculating pump. I have access to a couple of CNC machines and a laser cutter.

I have built a few tanks and sumps

I'm sure it's doable, it's just with them being pressurized, most people just buy them from someone who makes them everyday.

link to a DIY calcium reactor design, by Dr. Sanjay Joshi. I believe he was even using this homemade reactor up until last year. I saw this reactor being discussed when his tank was featured on the American Reef channel on you tube.

ca reactor just a container that holds water, if you using any of the continuous pumps to feed it, it doesn't even need to handle pressure.
if you know how to work acrylic(glue) and can put some plumbing together without leak I don't see why not.

Yes something similar except I will be using acrylic tubing instead of PVC pipes but I’ll have to put a couple of unions for “cleaning” purposes. Im working on the drawing so I can run it as a dxf file on the laser cutter. I’ll have to figure out the diffuser plate, maybe simple is key?

Yes I will update progress pictures, I have to find materials deemed “scrap”
