I have a suspended 4 bulb T5 fixture that has been blasting me while I chill on the couch which has been bugging me for months. Today I bought a 4x8x1/4" sheet of plywood and 2 1x2x8 feet sections of wood from Home Depot. Here's the canopy I made out of it. I'm really happy with how it looks and keeps the light from blasting in my eyes. It cost me 45 bucks and took me about 4 hours to build.
