I have two nano tanks setup with Amazon Basics smart power strips. They have 6 wifi controlled outlets, and I use Alexa to make routines to control different things.
I say, "Alexa, six gallon feed mode." and it turns off the return pump and skimmer, waits 10 minutes and turns the return pump back on, waits 5 more minutes and turns the skimmer back on.
I have similar routines for "start six gallon water change" (return, skimmer and ATO off) and "end six gallon water change" (return on, wait 5 minutes, skimmer on, wait 5 minutes, ATO on).
Honestly, I have one tank that has a whole Hydros control collective, and I have another with an Apex setup... sometimes the smart strip/Alexa combo is easier and more convenient. Obviously, it can't do all the things the other controllers can, but it works pretty darn good for less complicated setups.
Two of my nanos are in my home office. Since I feed both tanks at the same time, I made one feed routine for "office tanks".
