I'm trying to come up with a design for a tank with separate compartments so that it can hold multiple species of jellyfish. I plan to silicon egg crate (light diffusers) inside of the cylinder with 1/8th" clear netting on each side of it. The middle of the egg crate would be removable so I can clean, do maintenance, add more jellyfish, etc. Do you think something like this would work?
I'm thinking the tank would be somewhere between three or four feet tall and 12-16 inches wide. What size glass thickness would I need?
Thanks!

I am unsure but I had to chime in for the Patrick star and the lid reference. That is gold!
