DIY fish trap

I built a trap to catck a bad crab I have, needless to say I didnt catch it but it did work nicely for a fish trap. I used 1/8" acrylic and glued it with weld-on leaving the top unglued the rubberbands hold the top on for easy removal. you bait it with whatever you want leave it overnight and hope for the best. I still havent caught the crab but it worked fer the pygmy angle!

great looking trap. thats how traps always work you have to catch everything in your tank at least once before you catch what you are actually hunting for. or at least that has always been my luck
 
slick idea man! i wonder if that would work for the dotty back that someone here is having trouble with.
 
It probably would (dottyback), I even modified it with piece of nylon screen flap thinking the crab was crawling out after getting the bait but he seemed to get around it to! I guess I just keep feeding him snails!
