How to catch and evict demon red stoplight cardinal fish

I thought red stoplight cardinal fish are supposed to be nice and peaceful. I have four and they kill or harass everything smaller than them. And they eat peppermint shrimp! I want them out!!

I bout the Nyos fish trap - it is not worth the money. It has not caught anything. my little perching fish sit in there. The big fish that I do not want to catch get stuck in there...I also have an IceCap trap. I have caught 2 of the 4 over the last 2 weeks. But I really want to catch the other 2.

I have tried using a mirror - the nonproblematic fish - tangs and my toby puffer, hang out in the trap, beating up their reflection. I have put food in it when it's closed, but when I open the trap, seemingly all the other fish come in, except the cardinals. I believe they have heard/seen my frustration and they watch me, ha!

What have you tried that works? Thanks.

Use a piece of acrylic to partition the tank then net them out. Or just drain the water down 75% and net them out... I've never had to use a fish trap.

wait until night after its been lights out for awhile. then stun them with the beam of a flashlight and scoop them up in a net. theyll never know what hit em
