DIY frozen food cubes

I just wanted to share, made my own frozen cube food for a fraction of the price with ingredients I wanted with trays from Bed Bath and Beyond for around $2. I started with Brine and PE Mysis (I washed thoroughly with freshwater to remove excess nutrients), Squid and Krill (chopped in a food processor), Hikari pellets, Dr G Rotifers, phyto and Aquavitro Fuel. Smell was horrible according to the wife...lol. But the product is a measured amount that I can adjust how much I feed based on 5 minutes feed window. Ex: if they clear the tank after one cube in under 5 minutes then I need to add two and so on. Hope this helps someone out there.... The main reason I did this was to measure out amounts so when someone is watching my tank I don't have to worry if they are over or under feeding, I just tell them how many cubes.

this go around I didn't have a true measured amount. I kind of just went with about half of each package this go around...eyeballing it

this go around I did not purchase at the grocery store, I already have a bunch of flat packs of brine shrimp, PE Mysis, Krill, rotifers and squid that I broke down and rinsed and combined together. I did throw the squid and krill into the food processor to break them down since I don't have any large fish at this point. in the future I will buy scallops, shrimp, tuna, whitefish and fish roe and anything else I find at the local fish market, that is freshly caught (or as fresh as can be). at this point its all a big experiment. I am purchasing a garlic additive and selcon to add to the food before I freeze it, and any other vitamin or essential supplement that I research and deem acceptable or naturally occurring. (I know garlic is not natural to fish but what I have read, it helps more than hurts.)
