My plans this weekend was to set up my sump with a HoB overflow box. However they sent my a pf-nano instead of a pf-300.

So now I'm deciding to possibly get crafty.

I have a 1 Gallon HoB refugium. My question is can I turn this into a HoB Overflow?

I can't drill my tank, so this is my only option.

Couple questions I have about this.

What size siphon pipe should I use?

I still plan on making an internal box where it will fill with a certain water level.

From there it'll siphon the water into the HoB Refugium,

Then I plan on 2 drain lines 1" into my sump.

Should my theory work?

I'm also putting 2 valves on the drains to adjust flow rates if my return pump can't handle it.

My tank is a 55g
