well this is my second attempt at building a led light for my tank. Running 80 3 watts running at 2.25. And 2 54watt t5s.

Built the fixture at work powered it up everything did great. Got it home and had 3 LEDs burned out. Got that fixed. Next day same thing the lights only burn out when the lights go out if that makes since. Drives are 100watt 3a adjustable

Heat sinks are warm to the touch but not so hot you can't leave your hand on them. Corals are really loving the light. According to my meter it's pulling about 300watts total

Isn't that meter showing more like 89 watts? (I am not an expert, but 35 x 2.5 ≠ 300, right?)

How big a tank are you ligthing?

That's on one driver only had one meter. And I have a meter on a surge protector that I'm getting my 300 total watts Reading should of clarified.

Each led driver is rated 100 watts. Each driver has 40 LEDs 4 parallel groups of 10 LEDs in series and it's a 55 gallon
