ok so i have over 4+ yrs of exp in saltwater (reef only) but i'm starting a diy led light and some aquascaping for my 55 gallon tank and i want to know if i buy my leds at the brighest spectrum do i need a dimmer and how bright should leds be before they start to effect coral and fish? 2nd i also would like to know has anyone ever used mineral clay for a diy aquascape.. ideas..... please.. thanks

Welcome to Reef2Reef! I would get a dimmable driver for the LED's if I were building it. I've never used mineral clay.

thanks.. i just ordered them yesterday, yea i watched a video a lil while back and seen this guy using mineral clay to build a wall in his saltwater tank. looked nice after it was all done and over. it was kinda like a back wall with caves on a shelf type level.. i got the ideal of a entertainment stand type rock structure.. should be posting pics within a week or so, soon as all my equipment comes in..
